About the Author
Dr. Trelease teaches anatomy, embryology, and neurosciences in the School of Medicine, and he conducts research in artificial intelligence, systems modeling, and computer visualization. He has also worked for the Dean’s Office since 1995 on implementation of computer based instruction for the entire medical curriculum using the World Wide Web and, most recently, smartphones and other mobile devices. He is also the Associate Director of the Instructional Design and Technology Unit, Dean’s Office, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
